Whether you have a Valentine for this year or not, we all have that sweet spot for love songs. It's always fun to reminisce on the songs that we have fallen head over heels for over the years. During the past decade, there have been many classic songs that have become a part of our childhood and teenage years that will stick in our memory for the rest of our lives. The top songs of the past decade are from a variety of different genres, but they are all songs that bring back memories. Sounds cheesy, huh? That's what Valentines Day is about! If you think that sounds lame, check out these notorious songs:

(1999: 'Breathe' -Faith Hill)
1999 seems like so long ago, doesn't it? I know that seems like such a hard concept to grasp, considering you're another ten years older (gasp!), but just breathe. Because Faith Hill says so.

(2000: 'This I Promise You' -N'Sync)
Now that you're breathing, we can talk about the good ol' N'Sync that we love and know whom is quite in sync with love songs. They sure do know what they're talking about, this I promise you. N'Sync is so cheesy they may as well be sponsored by Velveeta, yet their music is so catchy that thirteen year old girls want to marry them. How do they manage that one?

(2001: 'Fallin'' -Alicia Keys)
Speaking of, those girls are fallin' fast. 'Fallin'' is a different type of love song. This song became such a heart-throb hit because of Alicia Keys' capturing voice as well as the unique underlying meaning of the lyrics. Love isn't what it's all cracked up to be sometimes, and unfortunately, some hearts get cracked. So don't fall too fast for that one special person.

(2002: 'A Thousand Miles' -Vanessa Carlton)
How far would you walk for your true love? Well, Vanessa Carlton walked a thousand miles - bet you can't beat that. And if you can, you just might be a thousand years old by the time you get to where you're going.

(2003: 'Here Without You' -3 Doors Down)
And if you can't beat Carlton, at least you'll be able to keep your youth for a while. However, your poor true love will be crying, "I'm here without you, baby."
