Men's Basketball 4-1
Frostburg's Men's Basketball team is looking very strong for the 2009-2010 season.
Coach Webb Hatch is in his 11th season and he is looking to improve last year's record of 17-10 with 12 returning players including Seniors Nick Sefcik, Chevon Pinnock and Brandon Gilliam.
Frostburg dominated in the V-Foundation Classic against Roanoke earlier in the season. Sefick scored 20 of his 22 points in the second half, including five three-pointers, and the Bobcats cruised to a 22-point lead late in the game.
Frostburg led the entire game and finished 87-65. On the second day FSU took on Lynchburg and led the first half by two points at 38-36. Lynchburg put the pressure on during the second half, tying the score three times. Frostburg was able to post a win ending the game at 80-77.
After suffering their first season loss to Pitt Bradford at 77-89, FSU was ready for Mt. Aloysius this past Thursday. Five of the players scored in the double digits with Nick Sefcik scoring a team high of 19 points.
The first half ended at 46-42 but opening up the second half Frostburg the scoreboard 20-4. Frostburg finished the game at 100-92. Frostburg returns to action on December 9th against Penn State Altoona.
