With her new album hitting the mainstream market Lady Gaga proves still that she is "The Fame Monster" we love. On November 24th, Lady Gaga introduced the album as an add-on to her first album titled "The Fame."
Her new album, "The Fame Monster," can be bought in one of two ways, either by itself or with the original album "The Fame" attached to it. However, the best recommendation is to buy it separately considering that "The Fame" had been a let down. But it's predecessor "The Fame Monster" is easy to listen from beginning to end.
The first song to kick off the add-on would be "Bad Romance." This song has a very upbeat and catchy chorus that has the listener singing along within seconds. Within three days the play count on my iPod reached to 50. It's clear that this song is very addicting like most of Gaga's other songs.
The next two songs "Alejandro" and "Monster" really get to the nity grity of the album. They deal with the theme that we all have monsters in our life that we have to deal with.
The song "Telephone" really shocked me.
After first seeing that it was a duet with Beyonce, it kind of threw me for a loop. Beyonce and Lady Gaga have very different singing styles, and the biggest thing that went through my mind was how were they going to mesh? However, the song really fits both of them equally in their vocal tone without distorting their main genre in which they sing. Although it starts off slow, the song really gets into a nice club pumping beat, which Lady Gaga is so well known for.
One song that really sticks out to be a number one hit is the song "Dance in the Dark." This song does a really good job at addressing the idea of going out into the world and showing a smile to adoring public, but in secret suffering from neglect. It is heart wrenching with power chords that can capture the attention of any listener.
This album definitely varies from her first. The songs from this album seem far more personal, and they really make you want to listen.
Very rarely, do I ever listen to an album from beginning to end and this is one that defies my "pickiness." One of the best things about the songs, and their new form of "beat" is that Gaga gets her influence from the European club scene.
Lady Gaga keeps pushing the envelope, and with this album she definitely pushes it even further.
