I also want to address everyone whose panties are crumbled up feathers were ruffled, because of Obama's decision. In the grand scheme of things, your opinion is not as important as you think it is. President Obama had to make someone unhappy with his decision, because there is no good decision to be made with regard to the war in Afghanistan. Afghanistan is not Vietnam; there is an identifiable and tangible threat to a Taliban-controlled Afghanistan, which is an appreciated difference from the ideological war in Vietnam. What would you do if you were faced with the potential death of Americans versus the temporary disdain of American?

The last point I would like to make is an exercise in irony. The people most against President Obama's policy are the Democrats. In a move that I have been waiting for him to make since his inauguration, President Obama has placed the country above party politics. He understands the scope of this decision, and decided that partisanship should not sway his decision. For that, he gets my hat off.
