What made you choose to play at Frostburg and why did you stick with it for another year?
Well I always anticipated on playing field hockey in college. I ended up choosing Frostburg and I'm glad I chose to come here. I stuck with it for my second year because I loved it my freshman year. I love the sport and I love the girls on my team.
As a forward what is your job for your position?
As a forward it is my duty to score and to help assists. All three of us forwards are up on the goal whether it is on pads or if it is being on post. The forward line this year is working so well this year together because we know where to be when someone isn't there.
What game so far this season has been your favorite and why?
I would say that my favorite game this season so far was our game against Washington and Jefferson because we all played so well as a team and it was such a good game. We were able to pull off a hard earned victory.
What do you do to prepare for games?
I personally prepare myself for games by just getting into that game mode. I like to focus on just the game and what is ahead of me. I concentrate on how I'm going to come out with all intensity and readiness to play.
Do you have any superstitions before playing a big game?
I tend to be superstitious, like I wear the same spandex every game but I try and think that we'll win because of our talents not because of my silly superstitions.
How do you feel about your head coach Melissa Grosman?
I like Missy a lot as a head coach. She has taught me so much since I have been here at Frostburg. I think that since she was a collegiate athlete and has all that experience that she can teach us all the fundamentals of hockey. She is also always positive which makes it easier to learn and have fun while doing it. She is by far one of the best coaches that I have ever had.
What are some team and or personal goals you have this season?
Our team goals this year is to have mostly to have a great season and a winning season. Our team this year has a lot of potential to be a winning team and so far we have shown it with a record of 7-2.
